Crusher Run

190 runners participated in the Quarry Crusher Run Saturday. It is the only race of its kind in South Carolina and one of only a handful in the entire country! The 3.72 mile route started and finished at the green space in front of the Olympia and Granby Mills Apartments. Once in the quarry, the route winds down a 10% grade through granite cliffs to the quarry floor. The Quarry Crusher Run is part of the Sixth Annual Olympia Fest, held Saturday. The quarry is mined by Vulcan Materials Co.
